Post by Six-cylinder »

I have added an Oltcit Club 11R to my collection, does it count as French?

The only difference between the Oltcit and a Citroen Axel was a re-badge...so yes I'd say so! :-D

How are you finding it Chris? Enjoying it?! :?: :-D

Nope, bizarre as it may seem, despite looking like a Visa, it has nothing at all in common with one. Visa is based on the Pug 104, the Oltcit/Axel was based on Citroen's own type-Y design that was never produced by PSA.

Must admit, the idea of a Visa with a 1299cc GSA motor in it sounds very interesting..

Yep, having sold Chris the Oltcit it is a very different car to the Visa. When you look at it there's hints of other cars in it, such as the GS 1129cc engine, the Peugeot 104esque bootlid design, Peuegot 305 Mirrors, Talbot glovebox handle, Talbot interior door handles...

It's certainly a parts bin car! Unique and absolutely fantastic! :-D If the GTi's hadn't come along, I would have definitely kept it after a huge amount of effort it returning it to the road.
