I'd forgotten what it was like.

Booked the Alfa in for belts etc, cam variator, sundry lookover. Final bill came in at 75% over verbal quote, mainly due to local prices on plugs (eight at almost $30 EACH), a new cam cover gasket ($110) and some oil. Ouch! I would have been better placed financially (in hindsight) taking two days and doing it myself.
