PRV 24V vs ES9J4 - Which is better?

They have a few weak points; seem to pop a head gasket or two at 100K miles and generally more susceptible to corrosion than other similar era and subsequent engines.

Add to that hoses made of unobtanium and the dilemma for me, is setting out in a car which I'm not sure may always reach its destination!

So that points towards three possibles. Firstly I am still going through the current motor and many minor leaks/problems will be addressed in situ. If it still proves unreliable I am posed with the options of either rebuilding something snazzy like a 24V, or making a RHD replica of the late French market cars with their ES9 powertrain. This could be done with a local driveline, imported subframe and Euro spec ECU if a MLT5 box...

Thats just it,

There are so few of us who have sampled both I think. We've either experienced one or the other. :wink:
