Hydraulic suspension

Post by myglaren »

I just read on today's Wikipedia 'news page' that some Brabham racing cars had hydraulic suspension which lead to a fairly decent Wikipedia article on Citroen hydraulics.
Even a battle tank fitted with it!

I've seen the Russian tank with it doing jumps, which is pretty impressive for something that heavy!

More than a few years ago, the team went bust in the '90's ! They did have something innovative suspension wise then though, don't recall what it was exactly.

i think they had to stop useing it as it gave them an advantage over the convensional set up,

if memery serves i think it was along the lines of HYDRACTIVE or similar,
