Catnapped!

Post by Xaccers »

Tea leafs are targetting PSA cars in Surrey's car parks and swiping catalytic converters from cars.

I would imagine the cars are jacked up and they dive under with angle grinders, but how are they not noticed in a Tesco's car park???

The lengths they go to for a few quid is remarkable. They genuinely don't care about anyone or anything. I'm trying to imagine how angry I would be if I came out of Tesco to find that some scumbag had been cutting parts off my car with an angle grinder.

In the case of Tesco...

Every little scumbag helps himself...

Even if it is to bits of your car

Surely they MUST be seen at it. I mean a cat is not something you can surreptitiously pop off and slip in into your pocket is it?

Bet they go in disguised as a mobile workshop and their cover is they're doing a service on the car whilst the owner is shopping. A bit like at our local Tesco a band of Poles will wash your car for you whilst you shop. Damm good job they do as well for a fiver.

Cats are worth a lot of money. I scraped a couple of cats months ago and they were £35 each, I suspect they're worth over £50 a piece now.

4X4s are surely an easier target than regular cars.

Makes me sick, and makes me think that a sinker would be at an advantage here! They'd struggle with mine as there's no cat to steal!

Cats are worth money? Damn. Didn't think of that when I took it to the local tip. If I remember correctly, a brand new cat and pipe was only around £50, could have only been a tenner down!

Yes indeed.
A couple of years ago, by careful buying and selling, I changed a cat at no cost but my time and a gasket.

wouldn't it be simple to lower the suspension completely whilst parked up?
