It's a chance to get a little taste of the life of Mrs Bucket - and cheap too!

Am I mad?

Is it cheap? Well only if you're being paid the £400 to take it to the scrap yard!

Honda Civet rebadged, isn't it? I had a similar age Corolla that ended up wedged between two trees in a high speed "off".

For the asking price, I reckon you might just wheedle a series 1 Mi16 off an enthusiast - and that'll be a riot on wheels by comparison.

£400 for a years motoring sounds like a bargain to me. You never know, it might pass the MOT again next year... £400 for TWO years motoring sounds like an even bettter bargain! Plus... you get the scrap value when it eventually fails the MOT.

Reminds me of the Nissan Bluebird Turbo I sold just before Christmas.

Still wouldn't buy it though, you could get a good ZX diesel for that money.

It has something distinctly square and 80s about it...

*apart from the GSA and CX at chez Citroen? 70's designed maybe, but produced and updated in the 80's.

That Ronda is godawful. I had some driving lessons in a VDP version!
Wooliest ever steering imaginable; mind I was driving a GS!

I drove my brother's VDP when my Volvo temporarily carked it and found it pretty good.
He wouldn't tolerate anything with woolly steering though.

It did used to fill up with mayo though, as did the Ford Escort-with-a-boot thing that preceded it. He also regretted not getting the Honda engine.

Agreed but true '80's design was predominantly the 3 box school, pretty dire.
Just about the only car I like from that era is the Ferrari 328 GTB, very pretty, still like it now.
