Saw a nice ad last night featuring a 2CV.
I don't recall who it was for but it was one of those generally irritating companies. An insurance company perhaps. This one exercised remarkable restraint.

It's a MORE TH>N car insurance ad.

From the first second the middle chromed nut appears in the centre of the
hubcap I said it was a 2CV in a roomfull of people so when it panned out
everyone cheered but also said how sad I am...

I noticed WBAC's recent TV ad claims it buy's "fairly". I for one would be very interested to know how they justify that claim, especially given the examples provided by forum members in this thread :?:

Indeed it is, with a play on names, the narrator signs off as more than Freeman !! At least I don't have to turn it over IMMEDIATELY I see it like the others I mentioned !!

Their response to that will be that there is no obligation to accept their offer.

Just seen the More Than ad and realized that the voiceover was a Morgan Freeman supposedly coming from the hamster.

I'm sure it's "More than Freeman" - yes intended to sound like Morgan Freeman
and when I first heard the ad without sitting at the telly I thought that's what
he said.

It's a clever play on words (I.E. an eggcorn), like WBAC when they don't, because they don't, because most people would not give up their pride, and joy to be stitched up like that!

Jenny still says, "no comment!"
