chassis, indeed, the whole shell/body, (monocoque, as it's known nowadays)

Engine, spheres, and whatever else can't be seen in the video?

Looks pretty xant to me,although heavily modified.
Purists will never be happy though

nope engine wont count, neither will the hydraulics as there is no belt driven pump or height correctors, would of thought someone would of mentioned the bespoke alloy strut tops though..............

Wow, I was only telling my friend in october how good it would be to have a xantia in 4x4, little did I know there was one. I kept thinking the 4 wheel steering would get in the way for that to be done, no doubt they found away when redoing the whole car.

Was this an Activa or just very stiff? I like how he adjusts it at the start, not many rally cars can do that.
Love my black v6 xant - only one with cream coloured leather too!

I like that, and remember reading about it before. 8-)

It's good to see video of it.

Imagine a road going version that would be great!

Lets fire up the quatre!

Life on Mars was set in the 70s, Ashes to Ashes in the 80s how about taking one of Bowie's 90s songs such as 'Looking for Satellites', set the program in 1997 and have a catchphrase along the lines of 'Lets fire up the Activa' :D

Yep, I'll go along with that but please, don't choose yet another Bowie track. Stick with his best; Life on Mars. It's much better than his 90s offerings.

Perhaps if you are dead set against using Life On Mars again, how about Starman? The lyric referring to blowing minds seems rather appropriate as an Activa is capable of doing just that :D

Perhaps give a wholly French feel to it, an Activa and the Gendarmerie in a provincial French town in the 90s. Angers perhaps...

Just make sure the star Gendarme is not Officer Crabtree from 'Allo 'Allo.

But then you'd have 3 minutes of them just sitting in the car waiting for it to build up pressure and rise up :D
