A superb weekend. As everyone else has already said, great to make some new friends and renew contact with old ones.

Much praise due to the organisers, all went very smoothly and I have to say I found the meal on Saturday evening to be excellent and far beter than expected - wine was superb too Rob :D

Have some photo's to put up eventually but not sure if they are up to scratch as I haven't looked at them yet.

Thanks Jim for reading the codes and getting the engine to idle smoothly.
Unfortunately the improvement to the turbo didn't last and has reverted to only boosting from 3,000 revs, which means I have to get it up to 90 for the turbo to come in in 5th gear :(
Just come in from the doctor's and the remote has decided not to work :?

525 miles on 3/4 of a tank so not too bad.

The ride in that new 3L C5 Diesel Auto was a bit of an eye-opener. Excellent ride quality, superb comfort, whisper quiet and as quick and powerful as - well, pretty much anything I have been in.

Yeah it was a good day out for me too, thanks for reading the ecu's Jim and for the bush!!, she did ride much smoother on the way home with no switching to hard every time i came accross a bump in the road 8-) .
Saw a White XM estate on the way back heading north from oxford??
Nice to see you all as well, it was a very interesting day out, just wish i could of been there for the pickled eggs

Me too  Sadly, as a split hydraulic pipe on the BX needed TLC I had to miss all that frivolity :(

Great to hear your car rode better going home Dean and congrats on winning a prize. Richly deserved as you have one very, very clean and tidy XM there...

I reckon we can conclude that Hydractive 1` ECUs do benefit, like Hydractive II, from ghaving their stored faults cleared on a regular basis.

Steve, shame the good work did not last the whole journey home but on economy like that, there can't be a lot wrong :?

I've been paying the price for enjoying a brilliant weeeknd; I've had a really busy day at work and now I'm absolutely exhausted and not doing much this evening

Worth it though... Roll on Stratford next weekend :D

Speaking of Kevin the Gerbil, there was quite a rodent theme going, what with the Mouse Mobile (the early CX that had been eaten by them) and Rattiva, my erstwhile Activa. I'm delighted to report she made it to Scotland with no problems :D

Most of the fun with the pickled eggs was trying to get them out of the jar!

The Rativa behaved impeccably, I drove it from Little Hoorwood to Carlisle until Colin had to get driving it the rest of the way back. The sports seats in these cars are much better than the regular Xantia seats.

Some of my photos at last!

We sort of got lost a bit on the convoy so pulled into an field entrance for a quick discussion.
Image

A little while down the road we passed the front of the convoy which was a little surreal so our section did a simultaneous turn in the road. Don't you just feel for that non PAS Visa driver?
