DW10/12 Bellhousings

Post by addo »

Quick quessie:

On these blocks, is the bellhousing bolt pattern and flywheel offset different to XUD series motors - or can you fit an XUD gearbox onto a DW series engine?

Thanks, Adam.

I would imagine so Adam, given that the BE3 was fitted to the 90 HDi (DW10TED) and an ML5 to the 110HDi (DW10ATED)

Also the ML5 will fit the ES9 (3.0 V6) so I would have thought the DW12 would have the same bellhousing pattern..

Thanks, Jim. This is the backup plan in case its XUD lump dies again. Blindsiding the ECU/BSI would be a fun part of the install.
