Erm, the right thing!

Lovely looking car the 406 coupe, and thats a V6 manual for a bargain price with good mileage. Cant go wrong there 8-)

Just need to get some leather feed on those seats :)

Thought you were considering a V6 Xantia or even an Xm? You haven't
suddenly discovered a rent free aircraft hangar have you? Wish I could...

I actually was Andrew. I admit I had just started browsing for such a car when I spotted the Coupe. Thought why not. Besides, I still have the Activa - thats not going anywhere

Unfortunately not though I wish I did. With the money and space I really would have a fleet, mind, wouldn't we all?

Looks like a good buy Toby, ever since owning a Xantia V6 I've been tempted by the prospect of seeing what the PSA V6 would be like with a manual box, being able to keep the engine in that sweet spot between 3.5k ~ 4k rpm, ahh what music :D
Nice colour too 8-)

Being serious for a moment (yeah right) is this model still a Pinfarini design?

Obviosly not the Bertone I joked about earlier.

Yep the 406 is Pininfarina. The V6 in this one is the later 210bhp VVT engine

That's nice Toby :D Good colour too. 8-)

As said, an excellent Activa donor

Be interesting to see what you think of the handling. An awful lot seem to end up wrapped around lampposts...

I will let you know.

Mind you, I'm going to be comparing it to the Activa now, which is getting better by the day now it's had its Activa accumulator replaced. Just a few bits to do. Pretty certain the 406 will never surpass the Activa though if it's as bad as they say I may try aftermarket suspension.

Once it's back here I think I'll get some proper pictures of both and start a blog for them.

Too good for a donor that. You want a £400 jobbie rear ended or gearbox fail.
