Calling all O2 broadband users

Post by Xaccers »

One of our forum members is unable to view the forum since the move.
He's on O2, same as the web server.
I'm trying to find out if O2 could be blocking it.
So if you're on O2 broadband, can you let me know?

Hi Zac

Use O2 broadband, no problems with FCF site, good value too at £2.50 a month.

Are you using their router or your own?

Unlikely they are blocking it. More likely a DNS issue I'd guess.

The user is able to resolve the address.
Can't telnet on port 80 though.

I'm on O2 broadband at home, using the "O2 wireless box 2", no problems accessing the FCF.

I had frenchcarforum.co.uk bookmarked and it stopped working after the server move. I had to add the www. to the front of the address. Could he have done the same?

Using tracert, my DNS server (OpenDNS) thinks the server hosting frenchcarforum.co.uk (without the www.) is on a pipex network (which I think it used to be)

He's using www, and he can't get to any of the other websites I'm hosting.

I've directed him to a proxy provider so he can get on, and he should be having words with O2 tech support soon.
