I've just had a look at a few of my documents and discovered that my bank offers RAC Breakdown cover, only roadside and homestart, not relay, but does save me £150.
Phoned the AA to cancel and was told "OK but have you considered our standby membership at only £10 so you keep all your membership club benefits?" Plus If I need relay I can reactivate the membership for only £80 callout.
Is it worth it?
My gut instinct is no, but then thinking about it I'm tempted, but not really sure why.
The AA and the like.

I had RAC on automatic renewal.... when I got this years notification 'no need to do a thing we will take care of everything' it was for £217.0. So I phoned and said the same cover was being advertised on their Web Site for £145.0 they said that price was for 'new customers only' so guess what! I'm now a 'new customer' WITH THE AA

So much for loyalty then such practices really annoy me as they work on the pricipal of customers not checking their bill, such practices are what I'd call a scamf00lzz wrote:I had RAC on automatic renewal.... when I got this years notification 'no need to do a thing we will take care of everything' it was for £217.0.
