BernieLugg In Hospital

Post by CitroJim »

I've just heard from marty (BernieLugg). He'll not be on the forums for a bit.

Sadly he came off his motorbike this morning :(

He's OK but his left arm is not. He is currently awaiting surgery on it to rebuild it. So it'll be Marty, the man with the bionic arm..

His right arm is good though which is a relief as it is, in his words, the one he does all his favourite things with

All the best for a very speedy recovery Marty and here's hoping you'll be home in time for Christmas!

For a minute I thought we had two Martys fallen off motorcycles --- I've just realised that "BernieLugg" here and "M" on the BX Forum are one and the same person.

My commiserations and best wishes again Marty.

I heard from Marty this morning and it's not quite the best :(

Despite reconstructive surgery, it looks as if he will not regain full use of his damaged hand and, worst of all, it looks as if he will be spending Christmas in hospital

Apart from his hand and arm, he is OK, which is good.

It looks as if his motorcycling days are over :(

Hi,
Best Wishes Marty for a speedy recovery.

Fallen off mine more than once, got knocked of a bike more than twice, by some blind cagers :( .

Why ????
The only thing dangerous about riding a motorbike is that some car drivers want to use you as target practice.

It would be wrong to say that every accident involving a car and a motorbike is caused by the driver of the car some motorcyclists are a bigger danger to themselves than other motorists are to them.

Hi Kowalski,
When I wrote;

SOME car drivers---, is what I said. Yes , there are SOME bikers out there who have a death wish, same as SOME in all versions of transport. As I am on the roads all day and every day, it is the cagers, I notice, are the ones who seem to make a lash up most often.
 :)
