hi all, I have a feeling there may be a citroen DS? featured in a program on discovery channel that night.. could be a short 'restoration' story..

I might be able to add more later

getting quite into car stuff on discovery now  its either a bit US muscle car stuff, or 'garage' which is some brit mechanics in Marbella , but its sort of ok, ish

New. The Citroen DS's suspension has turned out to be a nightmare and Edd has a hard time with it. Plus, Mike has to search for a new interior. Can the boys turn a profit?

Thanks for the heads up John
Mike and Edd!
I've seen them before, restoring a 205 GTi and Mk1 Golf GTI.
I'll have to get a friend with Sky to record it for me :D

EDIT: Wheeler Dealers I think its called...

If i could export it easy enough from my skyplus i would do for you but we dont have one of those VCR things anymore. maybe try downloading it thru some form of legal torrent site or suchlike or see if discovery have one of those replay services?

  I did see that one and watched in abject horror at what they did to that poor GTi. Along that time I had a 205GTi. I was not impressed and on the form they demonstrated I surely would not let them anywhere near a DS or any hydraulic Citroen for that matter.

Sounds like one to avoid!

Keep a note of the index number, and chassis number!

Looks like the work will be done with TV in mind, and not a quality end result!

'TV in mind', that sums up a large proportion of the UK TV watching populace! Really, it does.

hi all..

I watched both... as someone that's hardly ever seen a DS it was nice to have an hour devoted to one :) fascinating car!

the ethos of the program was a 'quick sell' but I thought there was a fair bit devoted to the DS, great for anyone that didn't know much about them (Like me) :)

I found Mike a bit grating
Ed I thought was ok, from what I could glean... but I havent seen him doing any other cars...

I've been watching Wheeler Dealer on Discovery for some time now. It's a really good program and that Edd China is a really skilled mechanic. He turns his hand to all sorts of stuff including some impressive body work repairs.

The program used to be on each Saturday morning, but, the new series has moved to Tuesday night at 9.00.
Cheers, Kev
