I have got "Ready Player One" on DVD. It has got (amongst others) Renault Twizzies, a Renault Avantine, a Citroen C-Zero, and (certainly in the ending scenes) a Citroen C6. For a modern film I think that somebody thought certain French cars fitted in well.

DS or ID (never can tell the difference) in "Anon", near the beginning (1' 50")

Film is OK and good quality.
The Girl (as she is credited in the film) is Natalie Dormer, currently appearing in "Picnic at Hanging Rock". Saw the original but not this series.

...which I'm finding a tad impenetrable. Shame, I loved the earlier LeCarré adaptations - Smiley's People, Tinker Tailor... - not least Alec Guinness regularly driving a P6.

I have read the book a while back and can't see any similarities.

I like all the other books and films except one - IIRC "Our Kind Of Traitor" which was truly awful.

I wasn't aware until recently that he was Charlotte Cornwell's brother.

I'm finding the "Little drummer girl" a bit tough to get to grips with also, I think I'll have to give the book a go.

Talking about tough though, when I was learning Spanish I got hold of Le Carre's "The honorable schoolboy"...……...in Spanish "El honorable collegial" Still haven't finished it fifteen years on. :-D

Has anyone seen a CX with the air scoop for the heater on the bonnet? I saw one in a film sometime ago but can't remember what.

Was that to improve the legendary poor cabin airflow?
