I managed to grab 5 mins today & take my first proper look over the c6.
My impressions? mmm.
I've been left with this tinge that it isn't the car I hoped it'd be.
Why? Well it's not wide enough for a start, or long enough, there isn't as much rear leg room as I expected & everything was much smaller than I thought it would be, right down to the gear selector.
Oh sure its a pretty beast & clever too but I think the press photo's made it look more imposing than it actually is, its a shame as it looks like it should tick every box but the bean counters have meddled, it looks restrained, maybe even compromised because of it.
Maybe it was the showroom, maybe it was because it was parked next to the C4 Picasso, I don't know but I think Citroen have hit just wide of the mark with it, yes it has all the toys of a good luxo-bardge but its missing something. I can't put it into words, I think its a feeling. It doesn't transmit that passion that,......it didn't grab me like it should do, you know? Its as if there was no soul to the car - it didn't even enspire me to sit in it! sure I opened the doors & looked round inside, but when I was done I simply shut the door, raised a eyebrow at the self-closing glass & walked away, I didn't even look/notice at the convex rear window - it just didn't push my buttons like it should.
I'm not sure I'd take it over say a 7 series or Lexus. Shame. Real Shame.
