Save a BX GTI 16V...

Post by CitroJim »

Spotted on the 'bay by way of the 205 GTi Drivers forum..

You just know the fate of the engine

Anyone fancy saving theis rarest or rare BXs. Does not look too bad at first sight.

Had I not had my Activa, I would have taken a punt on it...

I have asked the 205 GTi lads, should any of them buy it and break it, to offer the BX-specific bits over on here and the BX club.

To be fair, has he priced it enough to be out of harm's reach and it's
reserve not met to boot!? Or has he!!

What's the going rate for a healthy BX 16v unit then?

I don't know for the whole car but the Mi16 engine, if basically good, could be sold for a lot of money. They are getting very rare now and even engines of dubious provenance go for silly money on the 'bay.

The 205 lads consider this BX too good to break :) so hopefully it'll end up in the right hands.
