As they're private ip addresses (meaning they aren't accessable directly via the net) what is her full:

No worries, we'll get there in the end.
You both aren't near Milton Keynes are you?

You may be able to help her using Windows 'Remote Assistance' feature - which will enable you to operate your mother's computer from your own.

I've never used it at home but did have my terminal sorted at work - its most strange sitting there watching someone else operate he thing for you!

Have a look at 'Remote Assistance' in Windows help.

Ask her to phone nildram as they'll be able to talk her through the router settings and make sure everything is ok.

This looks like she is using a router and the router as DNS server.

Could be the router's DNS table has filled/corrupted. Try rebooting it (power it off and on).

If you can get to the router's config screen then it would be better to set it to pass Nildram's DNS server IPs through instead of it's own.

they are..
# DNS Primary: 213.208.106.212
# DNS Secondary: 213.208.106.213

If it was a Nildram supplied router there should be help here for it.

Hi Guys

This is John's Mum. Thanks very much for all your help. You can see I am now re-connected. After trying all of your suggestions, in desperation I found a button at the back of the modem which after pressing, reconnected us!! What can I say........ but thanks again.
