C6 - On the Road!
Saw my first one actually on the road today. Wasn't on dealerplates so someone must have bought one - obviously a person with good taste 8)
Silver - not sure its the best colour but there you go, was on the A16 just outside Boston.

Top Gear magazine is currently running a silver C6 as a long term test car.
I believe it would live in and around the Thames valley region though these
cars do get about! Seems they like it from the first installment...
Now, whilst I like the C6, Cx's are just so more damned pretty with even
MORE road presence. Mind I am totally besotted (biased! ).

My wife, Debra, and I have just bought our first CX. An 85 25ie Auto Pallas. It's lived mostly in country NSW and is relatively rust free. It has been well maintained to the point that the steering assemblies were recently rebuilt and all new spheres. Even the dual aircon works!
Since we have collected it I have literally had people give me dozens of parts that they had sitting around spare, such as spheres, starter motor, TWO LHM pumps, spare wheel spats, hubcaps, lights and sundry little bits and pieces.
Of course being a Pallas in Aus it has alloy wheels so I don't need the hubcaps.
Mind you we would LOVE a C6. There are a small number in Aus already but we are yet to see one on the road.
Tonight Deb came home and praised the way the XM is running at present. It'd want to be after a recent top end rebuild, new radiator, brake pads, rear arm bearings etc etc.
Mind you the poor DS sits in its storage shed waiting for its next drive. It hasn't been out since early November

Here's a rare bird - 2.4 CARB manual Pallas in a great colour/trim combo
- go on, you know you want to - I'm getting goosebumps thinking about
bidding too - but I mustn't - there - If I say it enough I'll hopefully
convince myself that's the right decision!!
Just look at it!! Fantastic - a C6 looks crude and overweight by comparison.
Just don't all go fighting for it at the same time...Peter.N. wrote:I ran CXs for 10 years, the last one a CX25 DTR Turbo
Safari, for seven years and 150k + miles..... I want another one!

If only i had that much money. Perhaps I should postpone the wedding, and I rekon I could live in the C6 and therefore save loads of money. But can you redirect the washer jets and use them as a shower?

No wonder it's on ebay - It's in the wrong part of the country
possibly not enough 'bling' to appeal to the locals!
Isn't the list price for these nudging 40k - so there's quite a marked
depreciation considering Citroen are on record for saying they'll buy every
one back and aim to hold the supply and therefore values for them as high
as possible in the second hand market?
Don't get me wrong, if we're still allowed to drive in 10 years time and can
actually afford a £15 a litre magnum of DERV I'll be looking for one!
