Didn't you know? Ford is now rebadging (sorry - they joint-developed) the latest HDI engines, so the 1.4/1.6TDCI engines from Ford are a HDi found in the equiavlent Pugs/Cits....

i knew the 14 was a joint development but didnt know a 16 was being developed...is it totally new or being derived from an existing engine?

From the sounds that the 1.4 fessa produces, is certainly worlds away from the grunting sound of reliability of both the 1.9's :wink:

Hi mezuk04 well I see that you have moved house, and when people do that it's all about timing with everybody in the chain, and I see in this post chain that your last post was at 22.22 you did well to get that one in right on time. :)

Ha, well its been another bleeding busy day, officially moved out of the apartment today and have now officially moved into the gfs mums house until the contracts are exchanged.

Glad to be out of their now, but Im still suffering from all the stress so another night of 1664 :) and some magners cider just to wash all that down.

You know, my Xantia, with its old technology (indirect mechanical injection), 105k miles on the clock, the last two tanks have been 52.5mpg... thats up and down the A1 at rush hour. You must have a heavy foot!

i managed to get 50 mpg out of my old bx td....and i can get 50 out of my clio (if i drive it slowly) but the best i have got out of a non air conned xantia was 45.....

just the way i drive :D
