A French ad for the GTi has cropped up on youtube-worth a watch, and it does somewhat exaggerate the cars abilities!!

The voiceover "New BX GTi" is particularly amusing - sounds totally bladdered!

Crazy lady - didn't know Patsy Kensit drove a BX!

Oh now that is usefull. I have an extesion to demolish this summer - So I just need a dizzy blonde in a BX GTi rather than the small bobcat I was going to hire.....

At least its a bit more interesting than the ads we got in the UK.
Does anyone remember the early BX ad from about 1983 or 84 which showed the BX as an iron and the road as a huge ironing board being flattened out by the BX?! I kid you not - I think I still have this ad on an ancient Betamax tape somewhere.

My BX used to part the waters just like that. It was really useful for booze runs to Calais I can tell you. Sadly it stopped working after a while along with the electric mirrors, windows, rev counter, speedo, fan, power steering, headlamps etc etc!
