A New Old Car !

Post by ACTIVE8 »

Well what do you think of this ! :)

They are still selling the 504 in Nigeria, although the shape of the lights does alter the appearance of the front end, and makes it look worse.

Also the estate as we knew it, has a model title like the current range, they have called it the 504 SW

Here's the link to the web site showing the options available.

The 504 Lives On ! !

Post by ACTIVE8 »

After further investigation it appears that the 504 is also available in another part of the African continent.

Here's a link to the web site for Peugeot Kenya.

http://www.peugeot.co.ke/default.htm

They have some information about the 504 there, which is sold in saloon estate, and pick up versions.

On the specification list they have included a long range fuel tank, and heavy duty suspension, which is not surprising given the conditions on some of the roads there.

This model probably manages better than the more "modern" models on offer, and probably still uses the earlier diesel engine, as an HDI would make the car more complicated, and difficult to fix if, it has problems miles from a main dealer, and their lap top.

It appears that they still sell it with the old style look, 8) and have not fitted the car with different lights unlike Peugeot Nigeria.

Also, because of its reputation it's known as "King Of The African Road," by the Kenyans. 8)
