Interesting fuel consumption levels on your V6 Ian... is it a manual conversion? Both of my V6 Xantias have only ever managed a max of 25-26 mpg and usually operate in the low 20's..... and I consider myself to be a 'steady' driver.

I am most definatly not a 'steady' driver and easily got 27mpg. The car is an S reg V6 auto with 115k on the clock.

It has had a real good going over by a Citroen specialist though in the last few months and mechanically the car is perfect.

My Citroen specialist friend will do the conversion..... BUT obviously the cost is quite significant.

Today i went to look at a W reg V6 exclusive in London, a 120mile trip. I an quite honestly say it was the worst 5 year old car i've ever seen. Burst heater matrix with all the pipes cut and bunged up, no MOT, badly repainted panels, bald tyres and 2500quid!

So i'm still in the market for a MINT V6 exclusive. Does anybody have one?

Ian: love the bit... vauxhall chavalier, why do u have one, ewwww. Thats a nice V6, plus he's got an XM, so guessing he's a bit of citroen nut too, so it'll be well looked after (as it obviously seems to be).

I bought the cavalier about 6 weeks ago as a stop gap. Cost me 102quid off ebay and i've just sold it for 400 quid so i can quite honestly say its been the best car i've ever had!!

I've been to look at this Xantia and you wouldnt believe the service history. Same dealer serviced every year, often with only 2000miles since the last one. The bodywork and interior is mint AND ITS NOW MINE!!!

Yes, i've bought it. It used to belong to my friend who does the Xantia V6 Activa conversions and he's been through it with a fine tooth comb. Quite a coincidence and i'm very happy with it. Also the seller is such a nice bloke which has made the whole experience very nice!

I agree that is interesting, it shows how well the car has been looked after, it would appear that the belt has been changed on the basis of how long it's been on the engine.

What a find ! :) 8)

The car looks great in the listing.

One can only but imagine, how much better it looks in reality.

You're very lucky to find a low mileage, mint condition example like that, I hope you enjoy it.

Thanks for the kind words. I picked the car up today and its SOOOO nice!

The condition really reflects the low mileage. Very high shine on the lovely black paintwork, minimal marks and a true full history like i've never seen on such a low mileage car.

I hope you have fun in it. interestingly my 2.1td has nearly as much torque as your V6. i don't wanna race though, you'll be faster, maybe long distance race, no refueling! enjoy!
