Jut drilled two holes for the strings and tied a heavy nut on the end, it works fine but - - you have to make sure there's room under the nut for it to drop right down.. With a full boot preventing the nuts dropping, I would prob still have string hanging out the back.. lol. [:I] [:D]
BTW. I changed the thermostat, replaced the temp sensor in the rad, fitted new rad cap, and had a good spray round with silicone and made sure all connectors were pushed fully home. All renewed parts appear to be identical to the old ones (approx 18 months old) but now both my fans kick in on slow speed at around 95 ish?? they had never come on before?? lol...[8)] [:o)] [:D]
I had also sprayed the bottom half of the radiator with grease about a month ago as it looked a bit 'white' in places especialy along the bottom edge, it now looks brand new, no signs of corrosion whatsoever.
