It'll probably be a CX20 or a CX22 model. Not particularly desireable compared to a turbo (be it petrol or diesel) one.
Nevertheless, if it has been "dumped" then there is no point it going to waste.

ooh my word. A prestige! That's the LWB saloon model. The rear legroom in one of those is measured in miles. Must not be wasted! I believe president Chirac still has one of them as his personal transport, in preference to much more modern cars.

I had a 1981 Prestige a few years back.
It was the 2400ie engine. Wonderful, in silver. It was incredibly good body wise for a s1 CX but the chassis longerons were patched and nasty, this is eventually what did for it. Although it did go to good use re-building a similar car that a friend owned.
As i say any info on this black one greatly appreciated, let me know if its for sale :-)

I replaced the longerons on one of mine, much easier than I thought and no need to remove the bodyshell to do it, strange arrangement, they are only partially structural.

Yet another job that the Haynes BOL says that you must never attempt under any circumstances. Oh how we love to do things that are "officially" impossible!

Those "this device contains no user servicable parts" or "must be entrusted to a qualified technician" labels are just there to scare us, but we don't scare so easily!
