now i know that being interested in the activa i tend to spot all sorts of weird things but i'd like to take the chance to point something out and ask a question...
1 see how the car is leaning slightly? that is the signs that the suspension needs to be ajusted, and untill resently we ddint think this was a problem untill we found that the worse this lean the more lightly you are to spin the car out while doing something foolish... so budget to get that fixed...
2 ware is the rear spoiler on that car???? i thought that was a standard item!

Andy,
that Anorak of yours needs a clean!
1) Surely that is just the camber of the road?
2) Maybe it was removed to enhance the Q-car appeal of the Activa?

na if you have a clean anorak people dont think you ever get your hands dirty :P
its definatly got lean, next time i get the chance to take a picture of one with the problem i will take a picture and chuck it on www.activanet.co.uk it is fixable but honestly its not something i would want to have to do.
or its been rear ended and they couldn't find one with the right colour spolier (not that i am distrusting...) i guess some one could have orderd the car like that but why? lol its one of the things that makes the car in my opinion.

My '97 has a spoiler too although I'm not sure why a 90 hp diesel car needs one.

My car leans slightly to the nearside when parked on the flat. Should I be worried?

you will need it sorted at some point your front activa sensor needs ajusting, which ever way it is roing is the side you may beable to spin it. basicaly it wont be cornering compleatly flat, i'd see if you can get a ride in beckys car you may see a diference.

That is interesting as I posted a thread on activanet to the effect that I experienced a wayward rear end and both times the back end slid, was towards the side that is leaning...
I can feel a blank cheque being handed to my friendly Cit specialist in the near future.

one last thing, if your reading this and have this problem, when you car is starting to slide what ever you just did was pushing the car very hard and if you were in a vsx or non ha xantia you would have been off the road ages ago. remember ware it happend and take it easy there even if your activa system is working perfectly it may save you coming off the road some time....

It is a corner that I know very well and slid my 406 round several times, at speeds slower than I take it in the Activa.
The slide is very benign and is easily corrected, almost balletic in fact.
As a matter of interest, what job do you do and what job are you about to do?

I'm an IT manager by trade, I currently work for SGL Carbon GMBH which is a very large Carbon and graphite manufacturer and I have looked after this sites network for the last 3.5 years and made all the decisions on equipment and contracts. I’ve not got anything to go to yet so I will have a month to find something before I cant pay the mortgage etc, to be honest the plan is keep looking finish all the Activa projects over the next month and then if nothing has tuned up take a job in a factory until something does. My problem with this job is that I am pretty good with looking after IT infrastructures and users so I’ve done my self out of a job! I like a challenge anyway so I will be looking for something I can get my teeth into.
I think I’ve said before, if any one knows of any interesting IT jobs in the Redditch Worcestershire area I would be interested in hearing from you.
