Kylie's calamities. - UPDATE

Post by alan s »

I understand that Kylie Minogue has or had a fair following over there and this was announced an hour or so back.
Not real good for someone with a real presentation factor in her performances.
To be hoped it all pans out OK for her. I would imagine it will take a day or so to hit the news over there if it's going to.

Twas the main headline on GMTV this morning, and as this forum proves, news travels at the press of a button (*click*)

Its devastating news for any woman - though obviously as Kylie is such a high profile young lady its "news".
On the upside, its a very widely publicised disease which means that young (and not so young) women are more aware of the symptoms - which rarely cause pain in the early stages - and seek out treatment early on in the disease onset. The success rates are excellent when treatment is accessed early on.
Now if only we could get the message accross about testicular cancer to young and middle aged blokes....

As the story unfolds, it seems that it was diagnosed this morning and treatment begins almost immediately so obviously been caught in the very early stages, so much so that she was about to perform in a concert and patrons have been told at this stage to "hang onto their tickets" so obviously she keeps a keen enough eye on her body to have picked it early on.
Mind you, I think a lot of other people keep a close eye on her body also, as a result, it was a case that somebody was going to pick any changes as soon as they happened.
She's 37 incidentally so she hasn't travelled too badly has she?

Yeah sad new for anyone.
As for Kylie, it's got me buggered how someone that can't act, can't sing and has no talent at all is so famous. I hope you guys keep her over there ...

Hope she is OK - I only know her as a (pleasant) face in newspapers or TV - my knowledge of pop music can be written with a 5-inch brush on a postage stamp, and my exposure to it equal to botulism [:(]
Anyone with an Irish surname must be OK!
