Just to say hello and introduce myself...
I have just become the owner of an early Citroen Xantia SX TD. It's my very first foray into "real" Citroens (had an AX years ago) after many Peugeots, including 405 Diesels and 205 Diesels.
I still have a Peugeot though, my very much loved and papmered 205 GTi. I have got the Xantia for Daily Driver duties and occasional towing jobs so that the GTi does not have to work too hard or go out in the winter.
I have lots to learn about the Xantia and I'm sure I'll be asking some questions soon... [:)]
A quick hello and Intro

<hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></blockquote id="quote"></font id="quote">Morning Jim - and again, welcome to the Forum - you will love the Xantia (especially for towing). Yes it has its little foibles, and yes things do go wrong - but no more than any other car I would say. Have a look through the forum using the search function for relevant Xantia posts to see what others have written (esp Richard Galagher and DJ Woolard) - and dont get paranoid,[:)] because when looked after the cars are good.[:D].
My guess is you have a lot of car, for very little money. Make sure its kept seviced ( stuff like fluids and filters you can do yourself with little problem - and there are plenty of non franchised specialists if you are not so confident on other bits, there again use the forum as someone somewhere will have done it before and probably written a step by step guide) and keep the LHM system clean (you would not believe the sludge pulled out of my 13 year old BX yesterday) - and it will perform faultlessly as a tow car. The diesel XU engine is very strong and reliable when kept properly serviced.
Enjoy the car - and welcome again to the Forum.[:D]
