Been down tonight - still wants the £95.
Its the metal pipe along the front member which is shot and throwing LHM out - I didnt have any so I couldnt see how bad its throwing it out. It wont rise though.

Be patient!!!
Its an old Citroen which won't rise, and as far as most people are concerned its a worthless heap of crap which no-one will touch with a bargepole!!!
By the middle of next week he will be begging you to take it-you will probably get it for a drink!!!

Dont ignore the transmission, mk1 1360cc plants have gears a'la sump just like the Visa/Peugeot 104, and early 205s. Make sure its going to be ok on this account too, history should have regular oil changes. Their is no cambelt, but chain which if servicing has been kept up to scratch will be smooth and quiet. Rattles from the chain or machine gunning isnt a good sign. They are reliable engines though if looked after and 150k is quite common without problem if looked after.

This would be the 1360cc K1G TU engine which took over from the 'gearbox in sump' mk1 in 1988 on the BX and does have a cambelt. All aluminium too.

If it will not come cheap then keep looking, there are still quite a few out there, just spotted another TZD at the fuel station, a clean dark green one on a J, speedlines too, there are more on ebay quite often.
