Ex 94 Xantia Dimension 1.9TD 199k
I've looked up a few Xantias on the RAC site that I've seen for sale its amazing how many of them have been single owner cars for 5 or more years. Owners seem to be satisfied with them and don't go changing them every year, its probably a sign that they are good cars.
My Dad had a Passat some years ago and its V5 showed that the longest any of its owners had the car was 2 years, it seemed to have changed hands almost every year. My Dad didn't keep it for very long either, usually he'd buy a knackered car and run it into the ground, but this one he got rid of long before it was worn out.

If it was petrol, an elderly owner and a mileage that low would scream premature engine wear, lots of cold starts and short runs to the shops, never fully warmed up, leave well alone!!!!
Diesel's different but with a mileage that low were I buying I would still like to see shortened oil change intervals.
I don't understand the British car buyers obsession with low mileage, but, then again, it does make high milers a LOT cheaper for the savvy buyer!!!!

Yes I was thinking the same thing, I think the dealer or Citroen, might have done that to "massage" their sales figures.
By pre registering it, and then leaving it storage, they would appear at that time to have sold more cars than they actually technically really did.
It's a common motor trade trick, and I remember one of the national newspapers doing an article on this a few years ago.
They exposed the practice to the general public, to make them more aware about the tricks of the trade. To make it quite clear they included pictures taken from a helicopter, and there were about 2500-3000 cars on the site.
