GS looks like a good project.
Even rarer, I found this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 28840&rd=1
Can't even remember last time I saw one, early 80's I think!

There's still a few out here although the 17 was more popular here than the 15.
When I worked for a Renault/Pug dealer here many years ago we traded one (a 17TL) but unfortunately it was a dodgy 3 speed auto that didn't do much for it's sporting appearance.
Believe it or not, a couple of guys on one of the boards I frequent out here, use them as daily drivers.
Unusual beasties that didn't perform all that bad but I thought they rode as rough as a dray even before I owned Citroens.[:0]
Hate to think what I'd say about them now.[;)]

Haven't seen Renault 18 for years, parents used to have a silver turbo diesel estate on a 'Y' plate, loved it at the time except the horn sounded like a dying sheep!!! Car died on holiday in Devon, dad drove it out of holiday cottage drive onto lane and engine went bang...car went back on trailer being pulled by grandads Saab 900 hatch {bright orange paintwork, brown velour interior...very '70's!!!!!} we went back by train. Haven't seen Renault 16 for years now. Pug 504s were quite common round here till about 10 years ago, used by local taxi firm then they updated their fleet to Xantia's and an XM.
I didn't get to see the 504 Estate, but I have been emailed more pictures. Its not too bad. Inner wing needs some attention, and the seals look rusty. Typical bottom of the doors rusty, but tailgate looks sound. Its got the wrong wheels, these are from a early 70s car. Engine is 1.8 carby, not seized. Interior very basic plastic seats, no consol. 4 speed manual.
some more have crept on....
