Following on from the last thread which went a bit off topic - where do you keep your spares?
For me:
<b>Loft - </b>
2 Xantia Doors
1 Xantia front windscreen (it was free!)
1 MK 2 Mini Bonnet & Bootlid
2Mk 2 Mini doors
<b>Roof of shed:</b>
5 Xantia rims and tyres
<b>Inside shed:</b>
Tools obviously and many service items (Drive belts etc)
<b>On top of boiler:</b>
Filters for both cars (keeps em dry)

Lockup #1: Dyane panels & wheels
Lockup #2: GSA panels, boxes of OS from dealer skips, biggest collection of PRN satellites in West Yorks
Garage: All smaller bits, spare A-series engines, GSA transmission, hydraulic bits, ZX & DS odds and sods, more wheels
Shed: Oil, Schutz, Ensis, LHM, Hydraurincage, Antifreeze.

Every thing from my first car (Autin maxi) is in the garage. Still have old lucas flasher units in the bubble pack. Boarded the rafters up so it's a good starage area. Up untill recently had some ZX drive shafts and gearbox bits but they've moved onto a mate at work. Also just sold a complete tow bar from my old Vauxhall frontera.

But why do I keep all these bits that I know i'll never use again?
Screws that hold seddon atkinson doorlocks on bagged up with do not throw written on?
variuos used escort van spares that were scrap when I took them off the list goes on and on, and this is after the clearout (even I realised I don't need a melted lorry piston etc)

Right...........
Loft, boxes of CX parts, calipers, lights, trim, ECU's etc
Shed1, Motorcycle frames, engines, wheels etc also 2cv Dyane misc
stuff including engines, trim, panels, locks, glass, trims etc
Shed 2, CX tyres, Xantia seats, odds and ends.
Shed 3, Motorbikes and more bike spares.
Acadiane (doubling as shed) more of the above, lots more.
Under car port, 2CV gearboxes under tarp's, On back driveway GSA 1299cc engine (free to good home) and just lying about the place in no particular order, H-van engine cowling, BX front struts, many 2cv wheels and tyres.
To be honest Im surprised Im not divorced yet.

1 Lockup which is about 2 foot wider than a Visa and about 5 foot longer has in it.
1 Visa gti, 10 doors, 12 wheels, 8 wings, 3 complete bodykits including f+r bumpers, 2 bootlids, 1 windscreen, 4 big boxes of lights and other spares, 2 shelving rack things, various other bits
and yes it is a very tight fit :D

Unfortunately, Clio rear wiper motors can not be made to fit Octavias [:(]. Back to the drawing board.

Okay well i can only store things in the top of the garage and only down one end, i kindly leave my dad with the back end. It must also be added that i share this area with quite a lot of old toys all the christmas decorations and complete (spare bed). I've welded up a load of shelves to take some of the stuff but the list includes;
a full set of 4 BX16v doors in red including door cards, electrics, windows etc
2 front 16v wings
1 BX16v bonnet
1 BX16v tailgate (the most annoying thing to store)
7 BX head lights (mostly lefties)
4 BX indicator
6 BX dark smoked tail light clusters
2 BX normal rear light clusters
3 spare bx 16v steel rims and tyres 185 60 r14(ones with the things to use alloy bolts)
1 michelin energy rim and steel (165 60 r14)
4 black 16v alloys (various tyres)
1 'mini' trailer wheel
2 adikt high alloy wheels (baldies)
3 2tonnes car jacks
2 5 tonnes chain hoists
4 drive shafts (L+R 16v, L+R 19rd)
Various ABS stuff (ecu pump etc)

FD and accumulator and PR for 19rd

3 tape stereo's
2 full sets of locks
scuttle panel
complete and unbroken glovebox!
