Hullo Each, anybody likely to be traveling between Cumbernauld and East Sussex or locations nearby? If you are, would you have space for a pair of Xantia bumpers? :rofl2: :rofl2: :rofl2:

If you think you can help, even for part of the route, I'd appreciate a PM of your route and timing.

Thanks, in advance.

Ok long shot here. Could anyone pick up an engine or an engine and gearbox from Somercotes, Alfreton, between Sheffield and Nottingham and take it North, I wouldn't expect it all the way to me but even into Scotland where I could meet you. The seller has an engine hoist to get it into your motor and I would take one to transfer to mine when we meet. Otherwise I will have to do a 900 mile round trip which could kill my back!

Davie, have you looked into a courier to do the job?

The seller claims over 100 quid, I've not tried any yet Jim. I've no idea how much it would weigh to get a quote.

£100 sounds about right for an engine and box Davie....

I'm looking at £60 for a gearbox from Edinburgh...

I would if I had a vehicle capable of carrying an engine and the time to spare Malcolm...

Problem is that my box is already in the hands of a courier...

Anyone near Peterlee who'd pick up a small wing for me from a breaker that won't post?

I'm not far away Mike but won't be venturing south until the rallies. Not sure when and where they are yet for this year but presume the X at Burleigh or somewhere near will be the closest.
Can post it if you like though.

Although the Northern should be quite soon if someone can ferry it down from there.
Peterlee is only twenty minutes from here - used to work there :)

If you could collect Steve that would be amazing! We can work out how to get it here later. It's a wing for the TT. They're not large at all...
