I have a problem :( I'm just not feeling the love for my Activa presently. I want to but there is one big obstacle for me and that is its need of an MOT.

I dread MOTs and can hardly cope with them, if at all. I'm ill for days up to the dread day and then ill for days after even if the car passes.

I just can't face any more MOTs. In fact, they are making me so ill now just thinking about them I may well scrap the 207 when its MOT expires and get something else with a full MOT just to avoid it.

In truth, this was behind my decision to sell both the Activa and Gabriel. I was pretty rough yesterday when I heard Gabriel failed her MOT. That's how bad it is.

Anyway, that's life, it's how I am and I really would like to see another 12 months on my Activa and try to restore a bit of love for the poor old thing.

Is there anyone who can help me out by relieving me of the burden of going through the fuss and stress of an MOT please? I don't mind doing any work necessary at all but would love it if someone could just come and take my Activa away for a few days and return it with a new MOT.

It's currently SORN'd...

Any offers please?

If not then the Activa is likely to end up scrapped.

Sure I could help out there Jim. I've got cover for other vehicles on my insurance, and have a decent relationship with the same garage as you use.

I warn you though that it may also return valeted!

Zel, that would be very highly appreciated :D I'll check her over next week and then we can then take it from there :)

Meanwhile I've been taking a bit of therapy in my workshop making this:
spheretestergauge.jpg
For a fellow forum member who's building a sphere tester...

Thoroughly enjoyed doing it but I'm very out of practice on the lathe. I need to do more of it...

Just let me know when suits you Jim and we can figure something out.

I'll not be available for a couple of weeks between the 12th and 25th as we're away to the US for a family wedding, and I'll be up in Livingston between the 2nd and 6th November. Either side of that brief hectic envelope though normal service will be resumed.

I used to work with someone who had that guiding principle.
Except he would terminate it with -

"And if you can't be nice you can f**k off"!

He wasn't all that nice.

One of my major guiding principles as well and one I try to live by all day and every day...

I will do anything I can for anyone and in return I'm just so grateful for people who can do for me those things I just cannot do myself...

Zel, you transformed my day yesterday :D For that I am so thankful....
