You need a day of not a lot Jim.

Definitely do Davie! It know me too well now ;) I want to be in top form for Saturday and especially Sunday. Really looking forward to seeing you :)

Most intrigued by your plans for Gabriel! I'll be watching with great interest if you do have her wrapped as that may well be something I'll do with the Activa if I can afford it...

Had an excellent meal out last evening in the company of James (Elma) :) We went back to our favourite restaurant overlooking the Solent. It was a lovely clear evening and the Isle of Wight looked so close to us it looked as if you could swim over to it. It was magical to watch the sun go down and then see the lighthouse on the end of the Needles start up :)

It's not a good picture but you can just see the IoW and the Needles in this picture taken from very close to the caravan I'm staying in down here...

Definitely an interesting idea on the wrap Davie. Something I'd pondered once or twice but never really got that far with looking at.

Still pondering the multicoloured look if I wind up with a cosmetically challenged car at some point myself. There actually is one of those 90s Polo Harlequins going around here somewhere, still looks the part I think (one that works better in person than in pictures I think).

It really does depend on what I see on Sunday Zel. I may not do anything to her. But at the least I have always wanted to try wrapping bigger things than I have in the past so I'm thinking black roof for a start

I think David Hallworth had his V6 Activa nano wrapped? It might be worth checking out his main thread.

I'd love to see her wrapped in a deep buttercup yellow so that I could judge if yellow really is a good Xantia colour ;)

I'm sure it is but I'd love to see a yellow Xantia for real 8-)

On other subjects, it's a lovely day down here today... Warm and sunny... I understand most of the rest of the UK is wet...

Barton-On-Sea beach :)

Shame the lovely weather down here is not going to last... Or so the forecast says but all this week it's been notoriously inaccurate...

I've looked at that view from the other side many times, including several times from a boat off the Needles!

Richard, I'm cogitating a visit to the IoW next year... I fancy a bike tour of the island... If I can get my bike on the ferry across from Lymington to Yarmouth I will...

If this is the case then I can cycle from where I stay here right over to the island without having to go anywhere near my car :)

The island looks a great place to cycle and it has a steam railway to visit too ;)

Perhaps visit Dean too and see his gorgeous XM :) That really would put the icing on the cake :)

I once owned a broom yellow punto sporting and love that shade of yellow. I could start with the black roof then the bonnet black then everything else yellow. Tinted rear windows, black b and c pillars, yellow a pillars. Could that get it looking like a yellow convertible xantia from a distance or would it just be stupid? :rofl2: :rofl2:

I rode many a mile on the IOW (before I learnt to drive...!). There is an annual round the island ride - I've done it a few times. It used to be sponsored by the local Timber yard, Morey's, which was run by my best Friend's Dad - who was a very keen cyclist!! http://www.cycleisland.co.uk/
