It was a pleasure to assist in such a small way Jim. If it allowed you to concentrate on your Dad for the afternoon then job done.

I have to say Dad sounded like a top chap and I was pleased to be able to help celebrate him and his life.

Alasdair, you did more yesterday for us than you'll ever realise ;)

Despite them both being unused all this week - which is more than I can say for my bikes - I've checked over both cars and found them good...

They are getting so little use nowadays I question why I need to retain three of them sometimes but they each have a role to play...

I'm too attached to both of my Xantias to let either of them go and the 207 is going to give me a lot of fun and enjoyment once the weather warms up...

I'm fining it hard to work outside at the moment due to my hands being so susceptible to the cold and Reynauld's...

It's a shame as I have no issue keeping everything else about me lovely and warm...

No gloves work for me and goodness knows, I've tried 'em all... I just manage cycling and running by wearing two pairs...

I hear what your saying, I'm indoors warming back up at the moment.

My right index finger is cracked and sore from working in the cold and I am wearing gloves.

It's just one of the less good parts of Winter, I'm questioning today if heat really rises. I've spent most of the day up ladders and it's not any warmer up in the air at all.

Your fleet makes perfect sense to me, hobby, workhorse and project.

I get that unless I'm very careful James... It's not helped by all the swimming I do either... I do find liberal applications of Vaseline several times a day and after any immersion in water really helps...

 Good practical science! And I find the same... My house is definitely cooler upstairs than downstairs and the attic is bloody freezing ;)

Excellent :D That's just what I need to hear James!

Ay up!

I get jip from the hip when it's this cold. This is why Otterchops still has her old ignition barrel fitted. Soon as I crouched on the concrete to see what was what I had just time to see where to drill and punch when.....

EEEEeeeeeeEEEEEeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyyyoooooooooOOOOOOOOUUUUUUCCCCCHHHHHH!

Then had to put the steering column shrouds back together.

Getting to be an old git these days.....

No excuse not to get all the jobs done now, it's lovely out there - a good few degrees above freezing ;) At least 5

I'm making sure all the jobs I have to do are either inside, or inside the car, then I can drive it around, get it warm, and do them in the warmth.

I got bloody cold out on a bike ride today... It was lovely and mild when I began but a way into the ride it got foggy and cold

I was not dressed for it and ended up frozen with numb hands and feet. To cap it all the heating was off when I arrived home

Never known the temperature to change so quickly. The wind turned into one of those evil easterlies...

Not just you, Jim! Same happened to me while out walking the dog this afternoon. Was half frozen by the time I got home!
