Currently running around in Sian's Nissan Pixo...

She's left it with me whilst she's at Uni... I like the car a lot...

I've come to the definite conclusion I like small cars as I tend to like everything in small packages... Comes of being a small bloke I guess...

Anyway, gave the Pixo a good clean and spruce-up today and now trying to get to the root of a funny noise Sian has reported... Not heard it yet but I've heard another which I think is a rattly exhaust...

I did a little bike ride today....

74.5 miles from Central London to well north of Milton Keynes via a very scenic route of almost all back roads...

It was absolutely brilliant and I really enjoyed it...

My bike, the one in my sig, was a complete marvel... Any bike you can sit on for over six hours without getting sore, especially in the bottom area, has got to be brilliant and it is...

Here's the full details on Strava.. See the elevation gain :-D That was riding up over the Chiltern Hills!

Back to driving the C1 this week following a week in the Pixo :D

The C1 is, by an order of magnitude, the better of the two cars despite their superficial similarity... There is absolutely no contest...

An absolutely excellent day today :D I ran down to see Dad in the Activa. It's such a lovely drive after the C1 and Pixo and so good for a long trip...

Called in to see Stickyfinger and met his newly acquired Latvian Activa.

We successfully fixed the inoperative keypad immobiliser problem. Both red and green lights were on and the pad (and ECU) would not accept a code and allow an engine start...

Putting the ELIT on the car we were able to enter the keypad ('Coded Anti-Theft Device' in the menu) and read a multitude of faults relating to low power supplies and failed comms with the Engine ECU... Once all the faults were cleared, normal service was resumed :D

That's a first as in all the past times I've tried to access the keypad with a Lexia it has not worked... First time with an ELIT though...

This will not help at all in case of a lost/unknown PIN though...

A great day all-round...

Don't EVER get rid of that ELIT!!! Now it is known that it can help with the keypads, you are going to have a motorway beaten to your door!

  You may be right James

I love my ELIT and treasure it!

I was a great discovery I must admit and I was so pleased to have sorted Alasdair's as a result...

It'll be interesting to see if it works on other cases of red and green on simultaneously on other engines besides the V6...

Great.....the ones I have opened are wonderfull, glad they are as well.

We forget what good simple foods taste like sometimes....and how simple it is to do.....even for me.

Did I get rid of the taste of LHM, I bled the brakes in that jar :)

Very happy with my C1 insurance renewal today. £156 with LV...

Now I need to find a good classic policy for the Activa... LV do classic policies but the car must be 20 or more years old. My Activa is 19 :(

Most will regard 19 as OK Jim....they do on mine. (I am not with LV however)
