I enjoyed the 2010 version but the wax on, wax off scene has gone :( (now coat on, coat off) and the final fight scenes were poorly executed and contrived... To me the final fight was a huge disappointment... Dre should have been disqualified for the final head kick.

They could have done so much better...

The basic story running through the film was quite touching and cute...

Must now watch an earlier version...

Fist full film I've watched in years!

same old same old!!! they can never recreate/remake films as good as the originals IMO,
i think you will be even more disappointed with the 2010 version after watching the original

this looks like the original, cheap as chips too.
It says 2005 but I think that refers to the DVD release, the film was released in 1984.

No, karate in real life is nothing like it's portrayed in KK Malcolm.. I was actually rather upset that the initial portrayal of Karate was somewhat brutish, aggressive and attacking. It is nothing of the sort as Mr. Myagi quite rightly pointed out and that did come out later...

There was some good moments in the fight scenes I thoroughly enjoyed..

I loved the bit where Mr. Myagi goes for flies with his chopsticks and states that he who can catch a fly with chopsticks can accomplish anything...

The whole atmosphere of the film reminded me of Debbie Does Dallas but without the nudity and shagging...
