Beef and anything lardy is out too James...

It has to be low fat and largely vegetarian....

Most of my cooking only has a hint of meat. I buy more eggs from the butchers than I do meat

Adam, Mike,

Both of those fit the bill a treat for me :-D I have to temper it a bit on Val's account. She's a bit traditional.. If it was just me I'd be looking at sushi...

Well, breakfast on Christmas Day was smoked salmon (from Springs) with black pepper and lemons.

My suggestions were basically kosher, so if Xac dropped in for a feed it would be suitable. :)

It's the predominant variety of restaurant food here, I'm in suburbia yet there's a Thai joint only a quarter mile away.

As long as it has no fruit in it he'll be happy   He's refused my home-baked scones and flapjacks in the past due to the presence of raisins and other dried fruits....

He often manages to find a bit of flapjack that's somehow escaped the fruit though...

Everybody has their likes and dislikes Mike...

I'd do the same if I was offered a pork chop for instance. I can't eat any meat that bears any evidence (even slight) it was once part of a living creature...

Maybe Xac feels the same about fruit. After all they were once living...

The cake is out of the oven and both smells and looks gorgeous :-D

It'll have it's first drink of brandy later before being wrapped in foil, put in a tin and sent to the preserve store (aka spare bedroom) to mature for a couple of months...

It can keep all my home-made jam and marmalade company...

Nope. But I have been known to eat and enjoy one of their excuses for breakfast. A muffin with with looks like an artificial egg in it. Their Hash browns are not bad either. A bit fatty and oily for me but just tolerable...

Their burgers make me ill.

And their coffee is disgusting in the extreme...

I'll tell you exactly when I was last in MaccyD's and ate one of their Egg McDuffs - the day Andy Williams won Wimbledon...

I think I may have been in one since, just to use their bogs... I bought a burger then and flushed it down the loo - thereby cutting out the middle man...

When I was working I would (if time permitted) have lunch at McDonalds. I always ordered a deli of the day (as it has to be made to order, as opposed to a Big Mac sitting waiting for a customer). I tried making sandwiches, but more often than not when I got time to eat them they had turned up their corners.

EDIT; Don't you mean Andy Murray?

Ahh, you need what I have, a proper insulated lunch bag that keeps a lunch fresh all day as long as the contents are chilled first. Mine looks like a little holdall.. I make my breakfast and lunch around 04:45, chill it in the fridge, pack it in the bag at 07:30 and by 10 when I have breakfast it's still well chilled as is my lunch at around 13:30...

That's with it sitting on my desk in a warm office .

It was an excellent investment...

Yep, that's him. Scottish bloke. Andy Williams didn't play tennis that well but unlike Andy Murray he sang rather well. I assume Andy Murray can't sing but then again, who knows?
