Not that I'm going to start doing food preparation in the bathroom any time soon. I use lots of bleach in my kitchen.

So yes, what your Doctor says may be right... All I know is Chilli down there really hurts
Computer keyboards are alleged to be about the most unhygienic item in most homes.

Right, back on topic

My b****y Activa

Now showing distinct signs of a failing wheel bearing and intermittent cooling fans...

I noted the coolant temperature at 100 degrees this afternoon when static for a bit and when I arrived home I found the fans not running.

Prodding one with a stick got them going and now they seem OK...

But not for long I guess... That car has already had one replacement fan but I can't recall which now..

Keeps me busy does that car

Good news is it goes in on Wednesday to have its lacquer peel sorted...

I hope it's a rear wheel bearing. I don't know who it was, but somebody I knew used to write the date of replacement on any major part he changed.

They would Will but they’re already down this way in the WFA stash... I also have a few so I should be able to find a good 'un. Fans are horrid to change..

I just hope I still have my special short socket for the job...

No, only roof and bonnet for now Mike as they're the only bad panels.

No doubt all the remaining good ones will now start peeling knowing my Activa

My recollection is that TCT fans and V6 fans are not the same power rating, so should be swapped as a pair.

Mike,

As I mentioned in a PM, if your Activa does get to the point where you are considering sending it to "Centreville in the sky" then give me a shout. I can offer it a home up here in Glasgow :)

David.

Ahh, now that's a good thought and something I never realised. Maybe the last one I replaced was not of the correct pairing and why the failure has happened.. Thanks for that Mike :-D

Replace a pair methinks...
