My car tax is due to expire at the end of the month too, and I've not yet received a reminder either. :?
I'm sure it'll be here soon.

It arrived on the 14th. the deed is now done.. The DVLA are now £215 richer

It's been a vey busy and enjoyable day today. It started with a visit from a pal with a Nissan Pulsar with seized bolts in his brake calipers. A LOT of heat and a reverse-flute socket soon sorted that.

I then checked New V6 over for her MOT and found one tyre a bit marginal. I had a new pair in stock and had them fitted by the place at the end of the road. The came back with the right pressures in them. there's a first!!!

The afternoon turned into a mini-meet with Paul (CitroenXM) and fiancée, DickieG and Xac in attendance...

This was the scene outside my house:

It was great to see Paul and Richard again and meet Sarah.
Cassy does look good with the alloys on, but there's a slight vibration around 70mph with the old tyres on the front which may be down to them having about 2mm of tread left, so they'll be renewed next month.

No room for 'Old V6' in the picture?

Sadly it spent the entire time sandwiched between two Vauxhall Corsas where New V6 normally resides...

Besides, the close was full

Luckily Kev, I have absolutely fantastic neighbours who are benevolently tolerant such activities... I thank my lucky stars they are...

They have me at the top of the close and down the bottom is a biker and Mini enthusiast... last week he broke a mini on his driveway and one of his bikes is seriously noisy...

The other day one of my neighbours was complaining about him. To me of all people

Our road in general is a haven of automotive enthusiasm, as it should be, being just a swallow's flight away from the Aston Martin works. Just up the road from me is an immaculate RS500 and just a bit further on a pristine Model T... One of our number actually owns an Aston...

Yesterday I spotted (and heard) a Cobra replica burbling past the end of your road Jim, a red one with white stripes.

Yes a good day and natter was had, I arrived a little later than planned as Dawn wanted dropping off in Milton Keynes to do some shopping with Danielle and a friend however they had been out the previous evening on Dawns hen night so they were still suffering, much like the O/S/R door of my estate after the friend puked down it :vomit1:

Ahh! So that's waht it is then! I've heard it may times but never been able to get a sighting of it

I trust dawn is recovered. I guess the bit of retail therapy helped

Pleased to report New V6 passed her MOT with flying colours yesterday...

She's back in storage now and Old V6 has resumed the role of daily runabout although she's soon due her MOT...

Off to help break a Nissan Pulsar in a while, specifically helping lift the engine out... Should be fun as it's a transverse 4WD set-up.

Some time this weekend I'll be running down to Somerset - in the Activa... Following all the work she's now such a pleasure to drive...
