Planned forum outage for maintenance 25/04/2016

Post by xantia_v6 »

I intend to take the forum off-line for a software upgrade on Monday morning.

All going well, the downtime should be less than 30 minutes, but this is not guaranteed.

OK Mike - I usually dive in around 06:45 and if it is down then I'll know why.
Just done the Ubuntu upgrade - entirely painless :)
Hope yours goes as well!

I probably won't be starting that early. I will do BXC first. It would normally be a trivial upgrade, but we are currently running a couple of customised features which may (if I am unlucky) need some extra time.

OK - I leave here by 07:30 for the day so will be unaware of anything forum related until 17:00 or thereabouts.

Cor, a 14 month year would be excellent, as long as those two extra months were in the summer!

Interestingly, the French tried out metric time in 1793. 10 hours to the day and 100 minutes to the hour... They kept it going until 1805 and then gave up and returned to what the rest of the world used...
