FCF Contingency Forum ***Please Read***
All,
Due to the main FCF webserver being down due to power issues, you are now viewing the emergency/contingency FCF hosted on a different server.
It is based on the most recent backup from 02:00 this morning.
You can use this forum freely but please be aware thast posts you make may mot be replicated back to the main FCF board when it is made to work again. similarly, some posts made between 02:00 and 08:00 this morning may be lost...
The main FCF servers are unliley to be working before late Monday.
Please be aware too that the emergency/conmtiongency host is not that fast and the forum may run slowly at times..
We thank you for your patience...

It failed just as I was replying although I did save said reply thankfully as it was a long one.

I was trying to activate a user when it failed...
Post your saved reply as both the FCF and BXC are so busy now this database will be used to restore the main production one when the servers are back up and running next week...

It is a pleasure Kev
No way in which we were going to leave all our readers deprived over the weekend. That would just not do...
Anyway, Andy, Steve and I like a quiet life and there's no way we wanted to face an angry mob brandishing boiling LHM and flat spheres banging on our doors because the forum was down...
Still, at least we've proved our contingency measures work and our backups are good...
The only small problem is the FCF database is so big now that it takes several hours to restore to the contingency server...
In fact it can be accurately timed thus: The time it takes to remove the front disc and pads from a Berlingo and go to the factors to get some new ones...

Never knew there was a Berlingo forum Adam...
If one half of the members are there then another good proportion can be found over on Club-XM...
