It's not good to see you're feeling so pressured, Jim. Should be your own kids driving you up the wall, not a bunch of stray blokes covered in LHM.

I'm going to sign up for Ciarán's forum, just in case...

Leeds isn't to far from some of us though Jim :)

Why not take the chance and migrate to newnet hosting? They do quite good packages and their uptime and service are very good IME?

Thanks Will. I may well do that if Webfusion does not soon get its act together...

I was planning on asking for some recommendations and you beat me to it :D

Is it working/in't it working?

I keep getting this: (minute ago)
phpBB : Critical Error

Error clearing sessions table

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 126 Incorrect key file for table '.\fcf_db\phpbb_sessions.MYI'; try to repair it

DELETE FROM phpbb_sessions WHERE session_time < 1263916857 AND session_id <> '005f783fded995ff14fc128d8eb63f19'

Line : 483
File : sessions.php
Then attempt another thread etc, it's all fine... :?

Yes, that's because the database is broken following yet another crash.

When I have a moment, I'll do a repair.

Just been on the phone to Webfusion who are not being very helpful.

I'm trying as hard as I can to get another server out of them and they don't want to play..

They have told me on every call for several days now that their sysadmins are looking into it.

They've been looking into it quite long enough and enough is enough.

I'm planning my next move...

No worries Jim, you're obviously aware of this then. If nobody mentions glitches
it will appear all is well etc...

Yes I'm only too aware of it Andrew

Today (and for the next three days) I'm on a training course and will be out all this evening.

If the forums go down I will be unable to react with my normal speed :(

However, as always, I'll do all I can to resume normal service...

A glimmer of hope, the server stayed up all night last night...

Webfusion cracked the problem? Maybe. The sky seems to be clear of avian swine at present...

Well, as I type this it's back with us.

Just taken a quick backup, just in case....

I called the host.

They said..
Our engineers have just finished the rebuild. All will be fine now...

This is what I really believe :^o :^o :^o :^o :^o :^o

We'll see...

It came back up as I was about to launch contingency plans...

I'm building them, just in case...

Funny that....

We are now successfully running on my server, things seem nice and fast, but we'll monitor it over the next few days just to make sure.
Unfortunately the few posts which were made early on Saturday morning are lost.

FrenchCarForum is alive and well!
So get posting :D

I'm getting log in issues and am not able to use www.frenchcarforum.co.uk
through my home computer yet can on the iPhone which originally was logged in
through your "parallel" fcf.shallish test site.

So what's going on and please don't score cheap jibes about Macs!?
Others may not see the forum either even while some can and you think
it's all roses...
