Xantia air con blower fan

I have a P reg xantia turbo diesel with air con, my blower fan is running very slow and does change speed, any ideas?

George, are you saying the fan does <i></i>not<i></i> change speed even when the control is moved from auto to full speed?
This should happen regardless of whether the A/C is 'switched' on. R

oops ! the fan does not change speed "ever" in fact it only just turns !
