Citroen C5 MK3 2.0hdi faulty aircon

Post by BigTownz » 05 Aug 2015, 20:13

Hi all,

I have a fault with my car and wandered if anyone can shed some light on the issue? when I turn my aircon on, the light activates but I hear no motor kick nor is there any other noise to indicate something is happening. The air never gets cold, and there is no drop in revs when turned on. Last year I had it re gassed and it still wasn't cold then.

Hope you can help

Switch/fuse/electric clutch/fan relays/no-pressure......Air Con specialists offer good advice and it is easy to pop into 2/3 to get a few opions

First check, switch on ignition, switch on AirCon, start car....does the engine cooling fan come on ?
Get a helper to switch off/on the AirCon (leave time between switching), listen/look at the compressor, can you see/hear its clutch engage/tension the belt ?
