Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hi everyone,
Two years ago I was forced to change rear hydraulic pipes on my ’09 x7 2.2HDi cause one of them leaks. Whereas the pipes was unavailable to buy here I decided to create substitute from original. I was working on it with my colleague. We tested almost 10 pairs during last year and half and we can now manufacture them for C5 X7

This is just an open query, and perhaps not enough to justify a thread but there may be opinions ..

Has anyone managed to reduce the noise level of an HDi, either by noise-absorbing material in the engine bay, or some kind of mod? Are some parts of the drivetrain particularly noise generating and amenable to silencing?

I would start with the engine mounts. These can make a big difference in the noise department. I recently changed mine after two years of service and a lot of noise disappeared. I thought there was something wrong with the engine type of noise.

Just fitted a towbar to the car to tow a small trailer.

The towbar came with a wiring kit which included relay for use when certain circuitry was installed on the car .

The relay supplied is a TEB7AS 7 Way Universal Relay including buzzer.
Is this a necessity on this vehicle or can I just install a buzzer for the indicators?

I own a 2015 Citroen C5 with a DV6C e-HDi diesel engine. I need to replace the alternator, but I'm having trouble choosing the right one.
According to the catalog using my VIN, the correct part number is 5705PA, but alternators with that part number are unusually expensive. Does anyone know why? Are there any alternatives?

Hi Chaps, I am very slowly working on a V6 brake upgrade on the TaffyTiva 2ltr.............the original brakes were buggered and the flexi's splitting and I had a set of V6 calipers, so why not :)

There seem to be lots of aftermarket ones available - the alternative part number may be a bit cheaper, and slightly easier to fit. As I said in that other thread, I am not at all sure how you would change this - got to be driveshaft out at least. I do wonder if you need to remove the water pump to free the bottom end.

Hi i have a question, will s1279 lexia module connect with my c5 x7 or do i need some other module for thus car?

What is more important is to know whether your VCI (the hardware that plugs into the OBD socket) is full chip and has Rev C chip firmware. Also, what software are you using? Lexia is probably too old even for a 2009 X7 and you need Diagbox. What version of Diagbox are you running?

Hi,
I have a problem. I changed my cabin filter myself and after that, my car starts and shuts down after a few sec. I may have moved some wiring but i dont know where to check first. No errors are comming on the dashboard.

I have a solution! It is working again. Computer crashe from being on the ignition for too long... Fast reset with lexia or other application from the mobile mechanic and it works great now.

Hi All,

Newbie on this forum as was trying to wade through another one, so firstly thanks for existing.

I have my first Citroen, a 2012 C3 1.4 petrol with Sensor drive Semi Auto box, saved from the scrapyard as IMHO it was worth saving.

Hi Lads I ran a diagnostic on the car because she smells fuelly, yes it's the C5 that has all the problems but I bought it thinking it had an injector problem. on my 2010 C4GP 1.6hdi (auto) I have a P0299 code (turbo pressure lower than reference flow) - It is actually reading turbo pressure but there is no vacuum to the turbo 'lever' (turbo end of pipe 7 in picture below). Hi,
I have recently had the injectors replaced on the above vehicle, however, since replacement, 2 clamps have since snapped.
I have now ordered a complete set of 4 from my local Citroen agent plus matching bolts.
Has anyone else suffered this issue, is it an easy job for a relative novice to replace these at home.

I've come across a company offering a re- programming of the ECU which does not disable the Adblue system, but stops the car being affected by error messages, count down, going in to limp mode etc... Sounds a bit sketchy, i'm guessing all they are doing is mapping the ECU to ignore & block all fault codes relating to the SCR system, the system may still work but if it did stop working you would have no idea that it has stopped working as if the system is not working it wont display any errors. I suppose you would realise when you aint had to...

I get the impression it doesn't have such a rock solid reputation as the 2 litre versions, and may be more vulnerable if not being fastidiously looked after.

Hi everyone,

Recently bought myself a 2019 Relay 2.0 HDI 130 to convert myself to a camper.
It has 182k miles and was fleet owned but pretty straight/clean with good service record.
I've done about 500 miles in it since I picked it up and about 250 miles since owning P0087 and P0093 codes for fuel pressure low/leak codes have come on.

I’m about to bite the bullet and make up copper brake pipes for my 2001 berlingo. But need some info please
Copper or copper n nickel ? And what size nuts ? M10 x 1 ?
Lots for sale on eBay, but I don’t want to crawl under the van and find I’ve bought the wrong stuff.

Well, more failure to report !
I paid a bit more for the pipe and tried out the ‘on-car’ flaring tool. The pipe looks very brassy coloured, but certainly stronger than plain copper. Followed instructions on YouTube for flaring tool which worked well on first trial. But a second flare failed miserably and the thread on the tool just stripped out....

My mechanic is struggling to access information about the connections between the BSI and ECU.
My van is completely dead and he thinks that the BSI is Unable to communicate with the ECU, possibly due to a wiring fault.

Hi I have a 2016 PureTech 1.0 edition when I’m at work and go home I start it and get the blue coolant light. Whilst checking Fred over I found LHM leaks again. 1 at the rear, possibly the height corrector (changed it for a secondhand one last year), and 1 from from the pipe that goes from LHM tank to pump (couple of years old and made of horrible metal weaved-covered pipe). Shouldn't be too much trouble, except I lent on the coolant 3 way pipe/ pressure...

Hello,

Hope someone can help, the rear doors on citroen dispatch 15 plate won't open, all the other doors open and lock but the rear door latch is stuck.
Won't open with central locking or manually with key ? Tried l to move latch from inside with a screwdriver but won't budge.
Is there a way to release from the inside?

Hi I’m not sure if I’m on the right part to ask a question about my Citroen C3. I’m not very good with things online. I have a 2014 Citroen C3. The EML came on 5 weeks ago. Am I right in thinking this trim comes away from the main bumper? If so does it come away without removing the entire rear bumper first? Also does this section from a C4 Picasso also fit or is the Grand Picasso unique? Thanks

If you jack it up you can remove the underlay which may then allow you to reach up the back of the radiator and spring the bonnet catch. But you should be able to manually unlock the doors with the key to get access?
