Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Had on My C2 the tracking/alignment done but for some reason when the wheels are off the ground, the wheels turn to the right.

At times the car does stay perfectly straight (in flat road).

Hi folks,

Have a Citroen c3 2015 1.6 throwing a code for stuck open reductant injection valve.

I have replaced the injector before already, 5 months ago. The previous injector was stuck open and flooding the exhaust system with fluid (tail pipe white smoke and crystallisation) it also had a code for short to ground when trying to test operation...

Scary situation. Brakes are very good around town, now I've got used to Citroen's short pedal travel and sharp braking BUT ( it's a big but!) at the end of a run say at 50mph for a while, the pedal goes down a lot more and the brakes feel like there is nothing happening, then suddenly they come on very sharply, almost like a crash stop. Having recently noticed a damp patch at the front coener of the car, I find that my LH headlamp wash jet is dribbling a small but continuous amount of fluid, apparently from the nozzles.

Am I right in thinking the jet assembly must have an internally sprung valve to prevent this ? If so, then when they start to dribble does that mean they've had...

Ok, so confirmed - a completely different system, probably on account of lack of space for the other system.

This is what you have below. So probably has a powerful pump, but little else to stop the dribbles.

After connecting to diagbox there is always a fault code in the injection/ignition calculator (I believe that it is the correct name as I have my diagbox in another language). Hi,

I have a leak coming from the pipe that connects to the main accumulator in the front, do I need to buy a new pipe or is there any other way to fix it cheaper. Also I wasn't able to find the factory code of the part anywhere, can anyone help me, I can also send a picture from the leak tomorrow if needed.

That hose is the main return from the pressure regulator, which is part of the octopus which combines many return hoses. See #3 on the diagram.

The octopus is available from Dr Xantia

Note that there are several versions of the octopus with slight differences depending on the specification of the care, but I think that the one available...

Found it!

It held in the wiring harness and was next to the 3rd bolt of the starter, on the left wheel side. It was nearly impossible to see until the battery box was fully removed and even then I needed this mirror. Photos attached if anyone is interested.

My Berlingo running perfect again. Replacing that clutch was very difficult.

P0054 can indicate that the downstream oxygen sensor electrical harness or the sensor is faulty, but I may be able to be more specific if you pop the VIN up.

Does anyone know if there is a bit of a grace period the car gives you before going into limp mode...

Failed on CO slightly too high,
Both side repeaters not working properly,
And the strange one,
The front anti roll bar had traveled sideways so one side was rubbing against the subframe.

So get the multimeter and lexia out to test the 02 sensor,
New bulbs,
Loosen the roll bar clamps and reposition it...

Hi guys. Just picked up a 2015 ds5, downloaded the Citroen app went to register my car input my Vin number which is 100% right as the one on my windscreen matches the one on my v5, and all I get is an error message saying 'vin unknown'

Does it not work with this car? I looked on the description on the app page and it says compatible with all...

No - stick to the MyCitroen App.

First make sure your Phone is connected to the vehicle via Bluetooth. It shouldn't need to ask for the VIN, but may be doing so if your phone is not connected.

Hi everyone, last November my 2012 Berlingo van with 102k miles came up with the Eolys warning.
I'd been waiting for that so it was no surprise.
I refilled the tank and then set about resetting the counter with diagbox 7.????
I have to admit I found the process very confusing, I fumbled about and finally got to a point where the warning went out....

There is some confusion I think.

When the Eolys additive is topped up or refilled:
The Additive Counter is reset.
This ensures that the Additive or Engine ECU know that the tank has been filled or the pouch replaced, as there is no physical measuring system for the additive fluid. It is estimated by the ECU.

Strange occurrence the other day. Operated the wipers to clear some dew in the morning then went to work. Switched the engine off and I could hear a regular knocking from the engine bay. The drivers wiper motor was pulsing a couple of mm's as if it was trying to find it's home position. It must have been doing it during the drive but the engine...

Well, the next day was continuous rain so the wipers were on all the time. When I turned them off, both politely went home so must be a sticky spindle or connecting rod. I'll do as suggested next time they play silly sods.

I’ve had my C5 Tourer Exclusive for 2 years and 20,000, I thinks it’s a fantastic car and thoroughly enjoy its smooth ride and serene progress.
The suspension is quite harsh over transverse ridges and I’m racking my brain to remember whether it’s always been the case (it has to some extent), whether I’m becoming complacent to the excellent ride...

It's hard to know what the exact cause is without further investigation - could be spheres (incorrect or replaced copies), valve blocks or even a simple air lock in the system.

Hi,
Just couple of hours ago, I found a leak of oil from rear driver side(UK model). When I looked there it turns out to be a worn pipe that nearly touching the diesel tank. My question is:
what is the part number?
Is is still available? ,
if not, does anybody make a substitute?
or if can be repaired somehow?

My mechanic fixed it by cutting the pipe on other side of the diesel tank, then using break repair kit, like @KennyW mentioned above. Thanks for advice. I will update this topic if something goes wrong. It looks like it is common problem of this pipe as it burst nearly in the same place, just behind fuel tank.

Does anyone know where the calliper motor harness connects at the engine compartment?
I have a C1562 error code but the usual area where damage occurs to the wiring under the wheel arches appears to be ok.I would like to test continuity from the calliper motor connector through the rest of the harness if I can locate it in the engine compartment.

Hi All

My VSX has a problem with the ignition feed from the fusebox .Andmcit has traced to break in the feed to be somewhere from just after leaving the fusebox to just under the scuttle by the drivers door.
The ignition feed has been bridged direct from the +ve battery post to here

Hopefully Andmcit will be able to add to this at some stage...

I have recently purchased a 2010 Citroen C1.
The central locking works on all but the drivers door.
I have checked the wiring in the door and all looks ok, the actuator has also been replaced.
It has previously been stolen so not sure if there could be some issues from that.

Can anybody give me any idea was to what else I should be checking?

Cant imagine its got anything to do with it being stolen. Its a very basic system, if the other doors are working that rules out everything up to & including the central locking control unit.
the outputs from the central locking unit & splits to all the doors at an equipotential terminal behind the instruments.

When I try to use the tailgate 80% of the time it's fine but the remainder of the time it'll stop soon after it unlatches or half way through the strut stroke as well as the full open stage. Whilst driving, usually on dual carriageway, motorway. A symbol pops up, in both displays. We are able to repair the problem. The headlight needs to be dissasembled in order to be repaired. Problem is that we are situated in Bulgaria, and UK is outside EU, which will affect the repair cost drastically.

Hi all,

The remote locking fob on my c5 didnt work properly for like 2 years. New battery in the fob didn't fix it..

Swapped the car battery to one with the correct CCA as it was dying, and what do you know.. The fob is also working fine now.

Just thought id post this in case anyone has the same issue!

Probably nothing to do with the fob, but more likely to do with replacing the battery which has caused a BSI reset. For your future reference reinitialisation of the fob is contained in the BSI Reset / Battery Disconnect / Reconnect Procedure

So, before I go and by a new NOx sensor and potentially a new injector, I just wanted to ask if anyone has a different opinion on what is happening.

I suppose it depends on what else they found, and there may well have been a problem with the tank additionally, but they should of at least told you that the NOx sensor itself is replaceable.

Afternoon!

Is anyone familiar with any changes to the leak off connectors on the BlueHdi 1.6? This is on a 2016 Dispatch.

I managed to cackhandedly break one of the connectors when replacing my cam cover at the weekend. Current leak off fittings have the little green tabs.

Citroen dealer have supplied a new leak off pipe, complete with all 4...

Hi,
my fathers citroen c2 1.4 kfv 2005 recently had a BSM that shorted out causing it to melt itself and damage some parts of the wires and connectors.
After fitting new cables connectors and BSM the car has a crank no start. I am wondering could it have damaged the ECU or the BSI too? I took apart the BSI and it does not look burned anywhere....

Hey, I forgot to reply when I solved the problem, sorry.
Turns out I had a wiring harness from a HDI C2 instead of a KFV one.
Had to turn some cables around and it started working :)

Hi checking out air bag fault on 2010 citroen c1
Air bag light was on in instrument fault logged for for coil spring on column
Replaced coil spring, cleared fault = now no faults present
Problem is air bag light is still present on instrument, tried refitting faulty coil spring fault returned
Refitted new coil spring faults cleared again , no...

It was changed. I just wondered what the crusty stuf was. It wasn't wet and the car wasn't loosing collant that I noticed. The pump was noisy though. Well I think it was the pump because the car is a lot quieter now.

I’m a new member, so please forgive me if I make any etiquette mistakes. The car is showing a “LH dipped beam fault” but it’s not the bulb or fuse. When testing with a voltmeter and both LH and RH dipped beam fuses removed. I’m getting a strange reading of approx 7.5 v on the output side of the LH fuse holder and zero on the RH as a comparison....

I have a 2014 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso 1.6 e-HDi Exclusive+ ETG6
Now it won't start and the regular garage can't help.
It gives Gearbox fault and parking break fault and when trying to start it shows as the gear is M-
Can't change the gear with either the lever or the paddles

We had a 2010 c3 1.4 vti and when about 4 years old the temp gauge started going to max. The dealer said there was a faulty batch of temperature sensors and the free Citroen official fix was to fit a new temp sensor where the bleed screw was originally located along with a new bit of wiring and the old one left in place but possibly not connected....

I'm finding it very difficult to find a second hand steering rack for my C4 VTS.

According to Servicebox the part number for the rack assembly for my car's VIN number is 4000 ZV (or the replacement p/n 16 179 341 80 or the exchange p/n 16 636 523 80)

I then looked through servicebox for every mk1 RHD C4, they all seem to use the same part...

I'm trying to remove the scuttle panel grill on a C5 Exclusive Estate, 2004.

Citroen's own instructions blithely tell you to remove lower windscreen trim, wiper retention nuts, wiper arms, four bolts, and then Remove the scuttle grill .

Hmm. Not so sure. Red rubber grease is silicone grease. That's great on rubber, but will damage silicone rubber. Given that grommet / doughnut has lasted 20 years (in my case, at least) it's more likely to be silicone rubber than real rubber. So I'd make sure that I had a spare grommet available before trying red rubber grease on it.

I have a problem with the colour display in that it has lost blue video.

Hi All.
I am working on my mothers old 2004 C3 hdi that has an issue with the speedometer not working and the power steering becoming heavy.
I did a search on and found a couple of similar issues. Both had replaced the speed sensor in the gearbox and but this didn't solve the issue.
They then cleared the codes and the speedo started working again...
