Re the 407 door seal issue and airbag warnings, after a few days of rain and testing with the hose, I gave up as water was still pooling on top of the bottom door seal and then running inside the car.

My solution was to put a few holes thru the seal with a leather hole punch tool which seems to allow the water to exit (the door seal gets squashed...

Hello!

I have C5 X7 and some problems with abs sensor in front LH wheel. Sensor have been change several times (past year three times). Bearing is changed too, because it was wearn out.

Is there any theory why same sensor keep getting faulty all the time? Year ago it takes 4000 km and two month. This time it was 15000 km and about eight month....

Just thinking that although OP states the bearing has been replaced has it been replaced with the correct one for the vehicle.
My only other thought is that the sensor securing position is not aligned correctly or maybe not holding the sensor securely so allows it to move?

Very likely because the mirrors changed from June 2009 and additionally, so did the fixings. They generally make improvements or slight equipment changes during the mid-life of the vehicle production, often as a result of previous issues or to cut down / add/ remove features.

Hi,

This seems to be a common issue and has now appeared also on my car, much worse when it's cold outside, to the point where the heating controls for example become completely erratic. I think, with the screen off, I can also see some sort of discoloration at the edges.

I have already updated the firmware to the latest one (easy enough) but...

Sometimes the units can overheat, especially in the winter when the internal cabin temperature / heating is turned up high.

The best thing you can do is to leave it for a while to cool down. If it is the thermal cut-out, then when the system reaches operating temperature again, it should start up again automatically.

thanks all. I think I figured it out. Two seem to be studs which don't have attachments,. but my confusion was because I thought a pipe clip went on a cam cover bolt but turned out it went on one of the inlet manifold fixings.

just bought a Xsara Picasso 1.6hdi diesel model 2007 and I realised it hasn't got a handbook. I am about to change the engine oil but haven't got clue what oil to use.
I went to different car parts and they advised different oils.

I was think to use the Shell Engine Oil (Helix HX7 10w40) performance.

My C5 X7 2014 model has had an issue ever since I bought it last year.

Hi, power steering went on my c5 (56 plate). I put hydraulic suspension down to min and opened the lds fluid reservoir. It hissed and depressurised and then gurgled. Reservoir shows long vertical lines, and three shorter vertical lines. Fluid was below the three shorter lines, couple of cm below them. I tried starting car, it now won't start, says...

Hi All, recently acquired myself a 2017 Relay 35 2.0 BlueHDi 130 Enterpirse. Love the van! Only concern is the rusty brown coloured Coolant (see attached pic). My mind instantly goes to the worst option, blown headgasket! Though I realise that's a little alarmist. Anybody seen this before in these vans? Does it just need a good flush?

Inspected the van again today, oil in sump and on cams seems clean and clear, coolant in reservoir actually looks quite clear, just the resovoir is a very orange/stained colour. Will flush it out and may do a combustion test.

The usual suspect is the battery being unable to cope but in this case I would suspect the main fuse box in the engine compartment. Check the fuses - remove them, visually inspect then check with a multimeter for continuity, they can break and not conduct but look OK. Also check the contacts for dirt and corrosion, clean them before replacing in...

Hi all!

The fob on my 2008 x7 is a bit intermittent.

Sometimes it works, sometimes not. Its about 50/50.

Batteries are fine, and the second fob has same issue..

Sorry im not computer savey,
I had a 2012 2.2 puma citroen relay and have an issue with it going into limp mode for the radiator fan2 speed, I've had a good look and unable to locate the relay that should be on the fan cowling.
Would it be anywhere else? Is there one on my model? Is it controlled by something else?

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can help...

The passenger wing mirror on my Citroen DS5 is no longer working. The motor still makes a noise but the mirror won't move. I've moved it manually, but don't want to do that too much and cause more damage.

Our recently acquired 3.0 HDi Exclusive (Saloon) has a strange fault with its rear suspension.

If you drop the suspension to it's lowest setting and then press the button to return it to normal height, the front will go to normal height but the rear suspension will stay on the floor. If you then press the Up button again, the front and rear will...

Hi . Just swapped out a complete engine and loom on a 2018 2.0 relay . from a donor vehicle. but wont run, cranks and got pressure to the fuel rail . Does the new pump and injectors need coding or am I missing something.

I will be buying rims for my car, but don't know how much of an offset is acceptable. I found out that the original rims are 17 x 7j ET32 with 5x108 PCD and CB 65.1. Citroenguy, you're right of course. But I've found that marking the pump and engine works. Just transfer the marks to the new pump or engine. Good enough to get the engine running, then adjust by ear.

I have a 2010 Citroen Relay with a 2.2TDCI engine.
I have just replaced the injectors, the SCV and PRV.
I need to do a Pump learn and a Pilot Injection Learn.
I have a Snap on Solus Ultra and it has the buttons to do the learns but both fail when I try to do them.

Does this engine have sacrificial rockers? The earlier ones do, they will break instead of the valves and are much easier to replace as you don't have to remove the head.

Wheeler, if you have access to the Citroen docbackup application I have found that sensor (item 3) is on page 0510 06 6443 01A.

I was using the live servicebox & it doesn't show on that as pointed out its an old number. i can now see it on the doc backup version.

Absolutely, get battery tested properly, static voltage is definitely not a good indicator of battery condition. Most places that sell batteries with test it for free.
If you have a voltmeter the best test you can do is to check the voltage it drops to when cranking, if it drops below 9v replace the battery.
